Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Sterling Moore, who visited with the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday, has agreed to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 49ers lost 2014 starting cornerbacks Chris Culliver (Washington) and Perrish Cox (Tennessee), but brought in Shareece Wright from the Chargers and re-signed Chris Cook.
With free agent options shrinking, cornerback remains one of the 49ers' biggest needs heading into the NFL Draft.
The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed tight end Troy Fumagalli to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team waived tight end Garrett Walston.
Fumagalli was among the tryout players at the 49ers' rookie minicamp. Something noteworthy: The tight end's left index finger was amputated due to a condition known as amniotic band syndrome.
"It happened at birth, so I don't know any better," Fumagalli told ESPN in 2016 (h/t Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle). "If you were to ask me if I imagined a finger on my left hand, I feel like that's in the way of things. I wouldn't want it
