Torrey Smith writes goodbye letter to Baltimore Ravens, fans

Wide receiver Torrey Smith has written a goodbye letter to the Baltimore ravens organization and their fans. In it, he thanks everyone for his time in Baltimore.

The San Francisco 49ers have been said to be the frontrunners to acquire Smith once free agency begins on Tuesday, March 10 at 1 PM Pacific.

Smith has been with the Ravens since they selected him in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He has recorded 213 receptions for 3,591 yards and 30 receiving touchdowns in his 62 starts out of 64 games in his career.

Smith and current 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin helped the Ravens defeat the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII and now they may play together again.

The 2020 season was a strange one. For the San Francisco 49ers, it was filled with injuries, and the team suffered setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes members of the team being kicked out of their homes for over a month and moving to Arizona after Santa Clara County restrictions banned contact sports. Linebacker Fred Warner feels that this past season's adversity made him and his teammates stronger and believes the 49ers will bounce back better for it in 2021. Fred Warner voted the 2020 49ers Webzone MVP by fans

Every year, we poll 49ers Webzone fans to determine the San Francisco 49ers' most valuable player in the eyes of The Faithful. Our fans have been choosing an MVP on an annual basis since after the 1998 season when quarterback Steve Young became the first player to win the honor. Since then, just four linebackers have won.
