49ers-Saints: Kyle Shanahan says RB JaMycal Hasty broke his collarbone, provides other injury updates

By David Bonilla
Nov 15, 2020

San Francisco 49ers running back JaMycal Hasty went down with an injury in the fourth quarter of today's loss to the New Orleans Saints. He later left for the locker room to be examined. The injury left the 49ers with Jerick McKinnon and Austin Walter as the only available running backs. Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters after the game and said that Hasty suffered a broken collarbone. That means he'll probably miss a significant amount of time and will likely become yet another 49ers player to land on injured reserve. Shanahan is hoping to get running backs Raheem Mostert (ankle) and Tevin Coleman (knee) back after the bye week. "I'm hoping they are," Shanahan said of their chances to return in time for the 49ers' Week 12

Kendrick Bourne will travel with the 49ers this weekend. Trent Taylor and River Cracraft are on track to play. Lynch started with Samuel, who remains a long shot to play this weekend against the New Orleans Saints. "I think the final challenge or opportunity for Deebo to show that he can go is out here on Friday," Lynch said on the Murph & Mac

Whatever you want to call it, head coach Kyle Shanahan knows it is unprecedented. Just look at the different sets of offensive weapons he's had available from week to week this season. It's a challenge to find consecutive games during which San Francisco has enjoyed consistency on the depth chart. That has made it difficult for the 49ers to maintain chemistry and build upon any momentum. "I thought we had that going a little bit at the Rams week into the New England week," Shanahan said on KNBR's Tolbert, Krueger & Brooks show. "That was about three weeks in a row where we got Deebo
