NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he hopes to see stadiums across the league filled with fans once again. Last season, there were no or limited fans in venues due to the pandemic. For players, the strangeness of playing in empty stadiums could be a thing of the past. Defensive end Nick Bosa only got to play one game at Levi's Stadium last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury during Week 2. He caught up with 49ers team reporter Keiana Martin and shared that he hopes to see fans again in 2021. "It would mean a lot, really," Bosa said during a virtual one-on-one. Making a choice for the 49ers in Sunday's NFL Network live draft didn't seem to come easy for Steve Mariucci, but when the time came for him to put on the GM hat for his former team, he made the decision many fans hope to see come to fruition when the real draft gets underway Thursday night. Mariucci was a natural fit to make the call at pick three in the NFL Network's draft, which featured 32 different personalities making selections for the 32 NFL teams. Mariucci, who was the head coach in San Francisco from 1997 to 2002 and is now an analyst for the NFL Network, says his choice would be Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields instead of Alabama quarterback Mac Jones and North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance. "I'm going to take Justin Fields," Mariucci said.

The video also contains the team's 75th-anniversary logo, which will be worn as a uniform patch throughout the season. A forever kind of franchise

Longtime NFL reporter Peter King posted his first and only mock draft of the season Monday morning, and in it, he guessed the San Francisco 49ers will use their first-round pick on Alabama quarterback Mac Jones -- and that it also wouldn't be a surprise if they decided to trade current quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the days ahead for less than the first-round pick they were originally reported to be seeking. King included his mock draft in his weekly Pro Football in America column, which was posted by Pro Football Talk early Monday morning.
