Brown signed a 1-year, $3.5 million fully guaranteed contract to play for Oakland. Earlier today, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area (@MaioccoCSN) reported that the 49ers were willing to give Brown a 3-year, $10 million deal.
Brown, who has spent seven seasons in San Francisco, was drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He has had 240 tackles and 11 interceptions during his time with the team.
