Colts sign WR Hakeem Nicks

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Indianapolis Colts are close to a deal with New York Giants free agent wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.

The San Francisco 49ers had been reported as showing some interest in Nicks. The 49ers hosting wide receivers Julian Edelman (Patriots) today and Emmanuel Sanders (Steelers) tomorrow. They signed cornerback Chris Cook (Vikings) to a one-year contract today.
