49ers hope to get new deals done for 5 others

According to Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat, the San Francisco 49ers hope to get new deals done for five other players. These players are RB Frank Gore, RB Maurice Hicks, OL Adam Snyder, OL Justin Smiley and FS Mike Adams.

Matt Maiocco:
It would behoove the 49ers to get a deal done with Adams because he is scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the season. Adams was undrafted, so the 49ers would receive no compensation from a team that signs him to an offer sheet. However, the 49ers would have the right to match any offer, if it goes that far.

The 49ers gave starting left cornerback Shawntae Spencer a contract extension on Wednesday.

"We're working diligently," Lynch responded. "I can tell you that. I'm not going to get into the timeframe. We are working diligently to come to a resolution. If a player falls into either of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to the roster status and may not disclose whether the player is in quarantine
