Eric Reid remains on the field after a violent collision

San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid remained on the turf after a violent collision with Carolina Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert in the third quarter of Sunday's game. After a few minutes, he was finally able to sit up and then walk off of the field.

Reid, a rookie, was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of this year's NFL Draft. Prior to leaving the game, he had one tackle against the Panthers.

Tight end George Kittle has called him the "worst texter of all time," saying that even he has difficulty getting a hold of the San Francisco 49ers quarterback outside of team-organized activities.
