Eric Reid injured against Titans

San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid stayed on the ground grabbing his leg after a collision with Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright in the fourth quarter of today's game.

Reid was able to walk off of the field with a little help.

Reid, a rookie, was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of this year's NFL Draft. Prior to leaving the game, he had one tackle and one assist against the Titans.

UPDATE:

Eric Reid returned to the game late in the fourth quarter.

The San Francisco 49ers will be without back-up cornerback Samuel Womack for several weeks due to an MCL injury, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters Friday. Womack sustained the injury during the final play of practice on Wednesday, Shanahan said. He is expected to go on injured reserve but does not need surgery and will likely return later this season. "I think it's like six to eight weeks, something like that," Shanahan said of Womack's timetable to return.
