2022 Schedule Tracker: 49ers open at Bears, host Seahawks Week 2

By David Bonilla

The NFL will unveil the league's complete 272-game 2022 schedule on Thursday night at 5:00 p.m. PT. It is common for select week-to-week opponent matchups to leak before the official announcement. I've created this tracker to collect those leaks as the official schedule release time approaches. As usual, the San Francisco 49ers will meet each NFC West team twice. On May 4, the NFL revealed that the 49ers will travel to Mexico City on November 21 to face the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca—a Week 11 primetime matchup on ESPN's Monday Night Football. The 49ers will face the third-place teams in the NFC East, NFC North, and AFC East. The team is also slated to play the entire NFC South and AFC West. NFL Kickoff Weekend will begin on

Why NFL.com names 49ers-Dolphins among its top 10 games of 2022

The San Francisco 49ers face the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams twice. They also face the Raiders for the first time since the latter left the Bay Area for Las Vegas. The two once-local rivals will play at Allegiant Stadium. The 49ers also host briefly-retired Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Every time the Niners face Brady, fans are treated (said sarcastically) to stories about how the future Hall of Fame quarterback loved the Bay Area team growing up and dreamed of playing for the 49ers. He has won seven Super Bowls since. Or, more recently, how the Niners passed on signing Brady in 2020. The quarterback went on to win that seventh Super Bowl that season. None of those matchups are

Rookie minicamp gets underway Friday for 49ers drafted players and undrafted free agents, but before those players take the field, they were hit with a number of questions from reporters during pre-camp media sessions on Thursday. Among the players to speak with reporters on Thursday were wide receiver and third-round pick Danny Gray (SMU), offensive lineman and fourth-round pick Spencer Burford (UT-San Antonio), cornerback and sixth-round pick Tariq Castro-Fields (Penn State), quarterback and seventh-round pick Brock Purdy (Iowa State), and undrafted offensive linemen Jason Poe (Mercer) and Dohnovan West (Arizona State). 49ers WebZone already discussed what Gray said

Every NFL team's 2022 schedule release video

No one's really sure what to make of the San Francisco 49ers' 2022 schedule release video. It certainly was an odd choice, which led to some pretty amusing Twitter responses. But how did it compare to the rest of the NFL? For the league's social media teams, the schedule release is like their Super Bowl. Below is a look at each team's schedule release video posted to social media, organized by division with the NFC West first. Which ones are your favorites?
