Does Colin Kaepernick have a Twitter sized chip on his shoulder?

Sep 24, 2013 at 9:15 AM--

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick may have a chip on his shoulder since Sunday's dreadful performance against the Indianapolis Colts. Kaepernick was 13 of 27 for 150 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He finished the game with a 49.9 QB rating.

Oscar from our Better Rivals podcast team (@BetterRivals) has pointed out Kaepernick's recent Twitter favorites, which he may be using as motivation. These tweets were made following the 49ers' 27-7 loss to the Colts.

The 49ers next face the Rams in St. Louis on Thursday.

49ers vs. Cardinals: Does Elijah Mitchell's absence mean a bigger workload for Christian McCaffrey?

By David Bonilla
Oct 1

The San Francisco 49ers won't list their inactive players until 90 minutes before kickoff. However, running back Elijah Mitchell isn't expected to suit up against the Arizona Cardinals due to a knee injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Mitchell and wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shin) were expected to miss today's action. The 49ers listed Mitchell as questionable and Jennings as doubtful, making the latter's absence less surprising. Kyle Shanahan: 49ers still have "got to improve" despite 3-0 start

By Rohan Chakravarthi

The San Francisco 49ers improved to 3-0 on the season after a 30-12 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football—dominating from the jump and never letting up a two-possession lead after a 17-6 advantage going into halftime. However, that dominating performance doesn't mean that the 49ers played at their peak, at least according to Kyle Shanahan, who was pleased with his team's play on a tough Thursday night, but still pointed out a couple of improvements to look at going forward. "Yeah, definitely, [I still think we have some work to do]," Shanahan said. "We did real good, time of possession, I think we had like 40 minutes. I thought our defense played real well. I thought they stepped it up. They started doing that in the second half last

49ers have remarkable turnaround in once-problematic area

By Rohan Chakravarthi

The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the most well-rounded teams over the past few seasons, being one of the few franchises to compile top-ten offenses and defenses in 2019, 2021, and 2022. However, one area that has struggled for the 49ers has been their special teams unit, which caused San Francisco to switch coordinators from Richard Hightower to Brian Schneider in 2022. Well, that issue may not be an issue anymore, as the 49ers are ranked seventh in special-teams DVOA, according to Akash Anavaranthan, making them the lone team in the NFL that has top-seven marks all in three aspects of the

49ers have any-given-Sunday mentality entering matchup with once-overlooked Cardinals

By David Bonilla
Sep 28

The San Francisco 49ers are not looking past their next opponent, the 1-2 Arizona Cardinals. That one win came this past weekend against the favored Dallas Cowboys, a team, like the Niners, with championship aspirations. The Cardinals may be looking up at the Niners in the NFC West standings, but inside the 49ers locker room, players see a team with a lot of fight. San Francisco is a two-touchdown favorite, but the team won't take its foot off the gas this weekend. "They had every chance to win versus Washington in Week 1," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday. "I believe that they should have. I forget the exact score, but I want to say it was like 27-7 in the third quarter versus the Giants, and they had every chance to win that, and it got away from them at
