San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has launched his official website at Kaepernick7.com. It features information about the young quarterback, his work in the community, multimedia, the team's schedule, news, a store and more.

The site's front page has the following message from Kaepernick:

Welcome to my official website. I want to thank all the fans for stopping by. I am really looking forward to getting back on the field in 2013 and making it back to another Super Bowl!

Kaepernick became the starting quarterback for the 49ers in 2012 when Alex Smith was knocked out of a game with a concussion. Kaepernick then helped guide the team to an appearance in Super Bowl XLVII.

'Colin in Black & White' series based on ex-49ers QB Kaepernick headed to Netflix

A new scripted series based on the high school life of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is headed to streaming giant Netflix, according to Vanity Fair. Titled Colin in Black & White, the six-episode series is being created by Kaepernick and Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay. It will explore the "foundation of Kaepernick's budding activism," reports Vanity Fair. That, of course, led to the controversy in 2016 when Kaepernick started peacefully protesting against social injustice during the national anthem before NFL games. Colin Kaepernick partners with ESPN, Disney on docuseries; first project to include time with 49ers

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick hasn't played a snap of football since the 2016 season. He has been busy, though, working to generate more awareness surrounding racism and social injustice. Netflix announced last week that it is working on a six-episode series with Kaepernick called "Colin in Black & White," which focuses on the high school life of the former 49ers quarterback. Just bringing up Colin Kaepernick's name can still evoke strong emotions from different people. That difference was even more evident in 2016 when the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback started kneeling during the national anthem in protest of social injustice. A lot has changed since then.
