According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly, free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is expected to sign with the San Francisco 49ers.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that the Carolina Panthers were expected to request an interview with 49ers VP of player personnel, Adam Peters, for the team's general manager job. The Carolina Panthers announced that the team expects to reach a decision on its new general manager this week. This comes after the organization whittled down its list of candidates from 15 to four.
