Shawntae Spencer to Raiders is a done deal

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area (@MaioccoCSN) is reporting that 49ers free-agent cornerback Shawntae Spencer has agreed to a deal with the Oakland Raiders.

Spencer spent his entire career in San Francisco, but fell out of favor with the new coaching staff in 2011 and ended the season as an inactive player.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch won a Super Bowl on a Jon Gruden-coached team — the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Having played for Gruden, Lynch was shocked by the comments that led to the coach's departure from the Las Vegas Raiders.
