49ers have not contacted receivers Meachem or Robinson

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee is reporting on Twitter (@mattbarrows) that, according to sources, the San Francisco 49ers have not contacted wide receivers Robert Meachem or Laurent Robinson at this point.

With the receiver pool rapidly shrinking and the 49ers losing Joshua Morgan to Washington, it seems odd that the team has not at least reached out to one of these guys.

Justin Fields of Ohio State. Trey Lance of North Dakota State. Mac Jones of Alabama. Who will it be for the San Francisco 49ers at the No. 3 spot in the upcoming draft? Everyone seems to have an opinion. While Fields remains the betting favorite to be the pick, many "experts" are still projecting Jones to the 49ers. That includes Peter Schrager of Good Morning Football, who released his latest mock draft on NFL.com on Tuesday morning. Schrager has Trevor Lawrence of Clemson going No. 1 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Zach Wilson of BYU going No. 2 to the New York Jets, as most mock drafts do. He has Jones as the 49ers'

Fantasy Football Alert: Kyle Juszczyk says 49ers have 'big plans' for Raheem Mostert

Injuries limited San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert to eight games last season. Of course, injuries devastated the entire roster, resulting in a disappointing six-win campaign. Some better luck on the injury front could result in a quick turnaround for Mostert and his Niners. That's what recently re-signed fullback Kyle Juszczyk expects. In fact, the 49ers' offensive weapon expects big things in 2021 for his running back teammate. Much of that has to do with play-caller Kyle Shanahan and how the head coach takes advantage of each player's strengths. Juszczyk used wide receiver Deebo Samuel as an example. In each game, Shanahan installs two or three plays that can take advantage of the young wideout's physicality. "He knows that he just needs to get

Justin Fields took part in a workout this week in Columbus, Ohio, in front of potential suitors, including head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch of the San Francisco 49ers. That has caused the former Buckeye's stock to rise, and he is now the favorite to be drafted at No. 3 overall by the Niners. It was Fields' second pro day-style workout. His first took place on March 30. However, Shanahan and Lynch were not in attendance for that one. Wednesday's workout gave the 49ers' brain trust its first opportunity to watch the incoming rookie quarterback. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated believes there is at least one aspect of the

Fowler: 49ers have an 'open mind' entering draft, pleased with Justin Fields' decision-making

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler joined SportsCenter and shared what he is hearing about the San Francisco 49ers and their looming quarterback decision in the 2021 NFL Draft. The senior reporter shared that nothing has been decided yet, and quarterback Trey Lance of North Dakota State can still convince the team to select him No. 3 overall on April 29 with a strong pro day showing on Monday. "[T]he 49ers are taking this with an open mind, a broad approach," Fowler said. "They're still looking at all those quarterbacks. So, with no Combine this year, lack of game film, these pro days take on a heightened importance. So, they want to see Lance in play-action, moving around, mobility, tailoring things toward what maybe the 49ers would do on offense." Other options for
