Tarell Brown injured against Giants

Cornerback Tarell Brown got a vicious hit by teammate Dashon Goldson at the end of the third quarter in the NFC Championship game against the New York Giants.

Both Brown and Goldson were going after an Eli Manning interception on fourth down.

Brown was able to walk off the field on his own with the help of 49ers medical staff.

49ers place practice squad WR Devin Funchess on injured reserve, restore S Kai Nacua

The San Francisco 49ers have placed newly signed practice squad wide receiver Devin Funchess on injured reserve, per the NFL transaction wire and first reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The 49ers announced Funchess' signing on November 24. The Carolina Panthers made Funchess a second-round draft pick in 2015. Throughout his six-year career with the Panthers (2015-18), Indianapolis Colts (2019), and Green Bay Packers (2020), he has appeared in 62 games with 41 starts and registered 164 receptions for 2,265 yards and 21 touchdowns. Funchess has not appeared in an NFL game since breaking his collarbone in Week 1 of the 2019 season while

As was the case against the Los Angeles Rams last week, the San Francisco 49ers sent a loud, and clear message right off the bat in their 30-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday with a long opening drive that quickly established their dominance and set the tone for what would take place the rest of the game—even if what happened at the end of the drive felt somewhat disappointing. Whereas last week's opening drive in the 49ers' 31-10 win over the Rams came off a turnover and ended in a touchdown after lasting 18 plays, 93 yards, and eleven minutes and three seconds, this week's opening drive came after the opening kickoff and took up thirteen minutes and five seconds while spanning 20 plays and 87 yards before the 49ers took a 3-0 lead on a 20-yard Robbie
