49ers' Kyle Shanahan excited to get Trent Williams his first playoff win

By David Bonilla

Before Sunday, San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams appeared in just two career playoff games. Both were losses with Washington. The nine-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman finally got to taste victory on Sunday. "I was so happy for Trent," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the 49ers' 23-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. "I don't think people realize how much Trent enjoys playing football. Any time you've got guys that talented, which he is as talented, to me, as anyone on the planet, they can show up and do [things] better than most people. "What separates Trent is he enjoys it. I mean, he tries to get after people. He loves playing. When he practices, he practices only one way." Williams didn't play in the 49ers' regular-season finale against

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers Saturday night, in the snow, at frigid Lambeau Field to punch their ticket to the NFC Championship game. After the victory the team knew they would be facing either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Los Angeles Rams, depending on the result of their Divisional Round matchup Sunday afternoon. The Rams jumped out to an early and decisive lead against the Bucs, and not long after, tweets began appearing about Ticketmaster limiting ticket sales to individuals with Los Angeles-area addresses only. This information got 49ers Twitter in an uproar, and then later, more tweets appeared from Rams fans, and even Rams' left tackle Andrew Whitworth's wife, imploring Rams season ticket holders not to sell their tickets to 49er

Many of us remember how the Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers played out. The 49ers started off slowly on offense, fell behind early, and then made a heroic comeback late in the game only to have Aaron Rodgers do what he does best—win. The offense and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo couldn't get anything going in the first half of that game. Garoppolo did orchestrate that second-half comeback and even led the 49ers to a late-game lead before Aaron Rodgers surgically moved downfield to set up the game-winning field goal. Unfortunately, offensive struggles in one of the two halves have been a trend for the 49ers all season, with both Garoppolo and rookie Trey Lance under center. It's an issue this team needs to address going forward if they plan on

'We're a much better team now': George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, DeMeco Ryans discuss 49ers-Packers rematch

Week 3's matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers was a heartbreaker for The Faithful. The fans at Levi's Stadium watched Jimmy Garoppolo engineer a thrilling comeback touchdown drive to take the lead, only to watch Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers crush their hopes with a game-winning drive in the closing seconds. A lot has changed since that 30-28 defeat. That kicked off a four-game losing streak for the 49ers. However, San Francisco finished the season strong and made the playoffs in the final week of the regular season. Green Bay muscled its way to the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Now, we get to watch the two teams go head-to-head again, this time for the right to advance to the NFC Championship Game. "I don't think they look much
