Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw are arguably the best linebacker duo in the NFL, serving as the heart of the San Francisco 49ers defense while sharing a strong bond. Despite Wilks' defense allowing the third-fewest points this past season, behind only the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, many felt the unit underachieved. The team produced 48 sacks, tying for the seventh-most in the league. DeMeco Ryans' defenses never surpassed that mark but matched it in 2021. However, Ryans' 2022 defense was the top-ranked unit in the league. Under Wilks, Ryans' successor, the defense
