According to Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter), the top free agent in 2011, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, has officially agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The deal is for 5 years, $60 million, and $25 million guaranteed.
Nnamdi Asomugha was the San Francisco 49ers' top target in free agency.
On Thursday, it was a three team race between the Houston Texans, who would jump out of the race with their signing of Johnathan Joseph, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets.
On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers announced that they were exiting the Nnamdi Asomugha chase and the Dallas Cowboys took their place as Dallas and New York fought for the cornerback's services.
Then both the Cowboys and the Jets were told that they were out of the Asomugha race, and he ended up signing with Philadelphia.
Add the Philadelphia Eagles to the list of teams interested in speaking with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh about their head-coaching vacancy. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles have requested permission to interview Saleh.
