According to Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter), the top free agent in 2011, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, has officially agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The deal is for 5 years, $60 million, and $25 million guaranteed.
Nnamdi Asomugha was the San Francisco 49ers' top target in free agency.
On Thursday, it was a three team race between the Houston Texans, who would jump out of the race with their signing of Johnathan Joseph, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets.
On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers announced that they were exiting the Nnamdi Asomugha chase and the Dallas Cowboys took their place as Dallas and New York fought for the cornerback's services.
Then both the Cowboys and the Jets were told that they were out of the Asomugha race, and he ended up signing with Philadelphia.

Whenever the San Francisco 49ers reflect on their NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, they believe they didn't have a fair shot. Despite confidence in their game plan for last season's matchup, the game took an unexpected turn when quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his throwing arm early on.
After the NFC title game loss, the 49ers expressed their confidence in the locker room, firmly believing that, at worst, the game would have been a much closer contest than the 31-7 defeat.

The eagerly anticipated Week 13 NFC Championship Game rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles has been marked on many calendars since the schedule was released in May. Many feel robbed of what could have been an epic showdown between two powerhouses in January. Instead, the 49ers hobbled through four quarters of football after quarterback Brock Purdy suffered an early injury.

On the other side, the 49ers have rebounded impressively from a three-game skid, securing three consecutive victories, including a Thanksgiving win over the division-rival Seattle
Omar Ruiz talks Brock Purdy respect, 49ers-Eagles showdown
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has showcased elite-level performances this season. Nevertheless, some seem reluctant to give the second-year player the respect that many 49ers fans believe he deserves.
NFL Network reporter Omar Ruiz joined KNBR on Monday morning and was asked if he senses a reluctance among the media to categorize Purdy among the upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks.
"Yeah, and I think as long as he has a loaded Forty-Niner team around him, it'll probably always be like that unless he wins a Super Bowl," Ruiz responded on the "Murph and Mac" show.
Ruiz drew parallels to former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson's journey to being considered among the league's best. Initially, the team's outstanding defensive play
