The San Francisco 49ers are coming off a late-season bye week and still have an outside shot at the playoffs. It's a strange thing to type, considering the men wearing the intersecting letters on their helmets do not resemble a real threat to any opponent. Yet, the 49ers have shown some fight. Against the New Orleans Saints, the 49ers opened the game dominating on both sides of the ball. The offense held the ball for 13:39 minutes, running 23 plays for 83 yards. On the flip side, the 49ers' defense held the Saints to 8 yards in the first quarter.
