Majority of online mocks have the 49ers selecting Haden and Iupati

Apr 19, 2010 at 9:45 AM--

The majority of the mock drafts that can be found at online draft resources and fan pages have the San Francisco 49ers selecting cornerback Joe Haden of Florida and guard Mike Iupati of Idaho.

Haden and Iupati would definitely fill two need positions for the 49ers.

Haden, who many consider the top cornerback in the draft, played in 40 games for Florida. Haden, who stands at 5'11" and weights 193 lbs, had 218 tackles and 8 interceptions. 18 out of the 33 mock drafts surveyed had San Francisco selecting Haden.

Iupati, who many consider the top guard in the draft, stands at 6'5" and weighs 331 lbs. 13 out of the 33 mock drafts surveyed had San Francisco selecting Iupati.

Fred Warner feels the 49ers have done a great job informing players about the vaccine

By David Bonilla
Jul 22, 2021

The NFL reportedly informed teams that it would not extend the 18-week season to accommodate a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players. Last year, there were multiple postponements as the league navigated through the bizarre season amid a pandemic. There will be no rescheduling of games in 2021. The league hopes players will take it upon themselves to get vaccinated and protect themselves and their families as training camps get set to kick off. Should there be an outbreak, the impacted club or clubs could be forced to forfeit, accruing a defeat, and not being paid for the lost game. A team with an outbreak could also be responsible for

Mariucci: 49ers might have the 'best roster in football' entering 2021

During a segment on Inside Training Camp Live, NFL Network's Steve Mariucci, or "Mooch" as he is known to fans, was asked to share his thoughts on the San Francisco 49ers as the team prepares for the 2021 season. It sounds like the analyst, like fans, has high expectations for head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad. While 2020 was a disappointment, the team owned the most injury-plagued roster in the league. The campaign wasn't what coaches, players, and fans envisioned for an organization coming off of a Super Bowl appearance. "This team, the 49ers, [were] 6-10, last place, and they might have the best roster in football," Mariucci told Andrew

49ers DT Javon Kinlaw: "I have no injury"

"I have no injury," wrote San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw via an Instagram story. Out of an abundance of caution on the part of the team, Kinlaw has been limited in practices this week, working in individual drills but not in team drills. Head coach Kyle Shanahan informed reporters on Wednesday that the former first-round pick recently underwent a procedure to reduce the swelling in his knee, indicating that it was related to the "clean-up procedure" Kinlaw underwent after last season. "He had, traveling and stuff like a month ago or something, [his knee] just swelled up a little bit," Shanahan said. "I don't know whether they drained it or not. I'll get it exactly for you guys tomorrow. But just a minor thing. And so, he had to stay off of it

Kyle Juszczyk: Kyle Shanahan and Mike McDaniel's vision makes the 49ers dangerous

By David Bonilla
Jul 21, 2021

Kyle Juszczyk spent his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before signing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017. The best fullback in the league re-signed with the team in March, ensuring he remains in the Bay Area through the 2025 season. It sounds like Juszczyk has no regrets about the decision to remain with head coach Kyle Shanahan. It's an offensive scheme that suits him and takes advantage of his unique versatility. Juszczyk may not have had the same opportunities with another organization. "I definitely have had the most fun in San Francisco because I am a little more featured," Juszczyk said this week on The Ross Tucker Football Podcast. "'Featured' is different as a fullback. I'm not the featured halfback or the No. 1 receiver. ...
