This game marks the ninth playoff matchup all-time between the two teams, with San Francisco winning each of the previous two postseason meetings. Previous game The 49ers enter the Divisional Round coming off a 41-23 victory against the Seattle Seahawks. The offense was led by the triple threat of RB Christian McCaffrey, QB Brock Purdy, and WR Deebo Samuel. McCaffrey registered 119 rushing yards on 15 carries and saw one of his two receptions go for a touchdown. This matchup marks the second postseason meeting all-time between the two teams, with the Niners beating the Eagles 14-0 on December 29, 1996, in the NFC Wild Card Round.
