The chances of wide receiver Jauan Jennings suiting up on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars just increased. He returned to the practice field for Friday's session—the team's final full practice before hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend.
Jennings was sidelined against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 1 and an ankle injury in Week 2. He participated in practice for the first time in two weeks.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update on Jennings' status during a Thursday afternoon radio appearance.
"It's been the same as last week," Shanahan said. "Obviously, it is getting better, but hopefully, he'll have an improvement and be able to get out there to practice tomorrow."

Shanahan will provide another update after practice. The 49ers will release their official injury designations later this afternoon. Last week, Jennings was listed as questionable before ultimately being ruled out for Week 3.
Through two appearances this season, Jennings has recorded seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown, proving to be a reliable target when healthy. However, injuries have plagued him this year. Jennings dealt with a calf injury during training camp—coincidentally, as he sought a new contract.
As expected, quarterback Brock Purdy was back on the practice field on Friday. He has been a limited participant over the past two weeks. Later, we'll learn how much he practiced on Friday. However, he appears to be trending toward playing against the Jaguars.
#49ers QB Brock Purdy again in uniform and going through drills during early open portion of Friday's practice. Again, all signs pointing toward his return on Sunday.
