San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle had something he needed to get off his chest before taking questions from the media on Wednesday. It was an issue that had clearly been bothering him for a while, and the star player was finally ready to address it.
Was it about the ongoing situation with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk? Or maybe tackle Trent Williams' continued absence? No, it was about the media's choice of footwear. Apparently, Kittle has not been impressed.
"It's absolutely atrocious," Kittle remarked about their sneaker game.
Before diving into questions, Kittle shared his critique: "I observe all you guys' shoes, and I am disappointed in you guys as a community. So if we could up those, please. It's year eight, guys. Let's figure this out together."
Kittle is known for his obsession with shoes and has a vast collection. Last year, he even gave fans a tour of his impressive collection, which can be viewed here.
