49ers-Chargers Injury Report: Arik Armstead, Samson Ebukam miss another practice

Nov 10, 2022 at 4:16 PM--

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 10 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Thursday's most significant news was the 49ers announcing that cornerback Jason Verrett tore his Achilles during Wednesday's practice, ending his season. Yet another devastating injury for the defensive back that has endured so many over his career. He will return to the injured reserve list.

The 49ers were without defensive linemen Arik Armstead and Samson Ebukam for the second consecutive practice, decreasing their chances of playing on Sunday. Armstead is attempting to return from plantar fasciitis in his right foot and a hairline fracture in his left leg/ankle. Ebukam suffered a quad injury during Monday's bonus practice.

Guard Aaron Banks returned to practice after dealing with a personal matter on Wednesday.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring), fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger), and wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hamstring) practiced for the third time this week (including Monday). All three missed the 49ers' Week 8 contest against the Los Angeles Rams.

Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, unable to practice with his teammates after landing on injured reserve on October 15, is eligible to return after the Chargers game.

San Francisco will hold its final practice before this weekend's game on Friday at 12:18 p.m. PT.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chargers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
