According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver
Deebo Samuel, listed as "questionable" on Friday's injury report, will play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Due to a groin strain, Samuel missed the 49ers' Week 13 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was listed as a limited participant on Friday's participation report.
The 49ers were using the weekend to determine if their leading receiver would be healthy enough to contribute on Sunday.
"If [the 49ers medical staff] think he's good and don't feel like he'll reinjure it, then he'll be up on Sunday," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday.
Said Samuel: "Feeling kinda good. Been working all week long, just playing it day by day, and that's what we're going to continue to do up until Sunday."
Samuel has recorded 56 receptions for 1,006 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns through 11 games this season. He also has 25 carries for 203 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Samuel is the first 49ers receiver to surpass 1,000 receiving yards since Anquan Boldin recorded 1,062 receiving yards with the team in 2014.
San Francisco enters Week 14 with a 6-6 record, while Cincinnati is 7-5. Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT from Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.
