San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner is a wealthy man. The team is signing its All-Pro defender to a five-year, $95 million extension, making him the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL.

You can tell how respected and well-liked Warner is by the reactions on social media. His teammates applauded the star linebacker for receiving what he deserves after proving to be among the best in the league. Below are some of the reactions from 49ers players.

A former teammate, Joe Staley, also wanted to offer his congratulations and praise.

Patrick Willis may not have played with Warner, but there is a great deal of respect there too.

And let's not forget about Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard, who is probably ecstatic for his peer. Warner's deal set a new benchmark for linebackers, and Leonard is the next one in line for a massive contract.

Warner becomes the third 49ers player to receive a massive deal over the last year. The others are tight end George Kittle and offensive tackle Trent Williams. All three are the highest-paid players at their respective positions.

Soon after news of the deal broke, Pro Football Talk released the details of linebacker Fred Warner's massive contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers. The five-year deal has a potential value of $95.225 million, including $40.5 million guaranteed. That would earn the All-Pro linebacker about $19 million a year. Interestingly, the contract's final two years are voidable, so the 49ers can choose to pick up those years if they find themselves in a healthy salary-cap situation. If they don't, then they have some options. Looking only at the extension itself and not 2021, which is the final year of his rookie deal, here is a year-by-year breakdown,

Warner's five-year deal has a potential value of $95.225 million, including $40.5 million guaranteed. The extension kicks in during the 2022 season, not the upcoming year, keeping Warner's current cap hit the same at a very reasonable $3.636 million. Per Spotrac, Warner's cap hits are $8.164 million, $18.525 million, $22.1 million, $24.45 million, and $21.986 million from 2022–2026, respectively. He earns $40.5 million in total guarantees to go
