In June, San Francisco 49ers fans got a glimpse of rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in a Niners uniform thanks to Panini America. Now, they got a look at the real thing, and it included the player selected 11 spots ahead of Aiyuk — defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.
The 49ers posted photos of the team's top two draft picks from April in their full game-day uniforms for the first time.
San Francisco selected Kinlaw with the No. 14 overall pick. He will wear DeForest Buckner's former No. 99 this season. Aiyuk will don No. 11, which belonged to Marquise Goodwin. Buckner was traded to the Indianapolis Colts while Goodwin was sent to the Philadelphia Eagles, making both of their numbers available.
Both players will be expected to step in and immediately contribute to a team that fell just short of a championship. The 49ers start the season on September 13 against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium.
