San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan made one thing clear in an otherwise confusing quarterback situation. The team's former starter, Jimmy Garoppolo, is unlikely to return in 2023. When asked if he could envision a situation where Garoppolo would be back with the 49ers next season, head coach Kyle Shanahan responded, "No, I don't see any scenario of that." That was all he had to say on the subject during the 49ers' lengthy end-of-season press conference. General manager John Lynch, sitting beside Shanahan, had nothing to add. In the past, the 49ers have had a "never say never" attitude about the situation. However, last week, the

Fan reviews of the new Pro Bowl format, now called the Pro Bowl Games, have been mixed. ABC, ESPN, and the Disney affiliates are likely awaiting final rating numbers before determining if it was a success or otherwise. The NFL has corrected that mistake. According to ESPN's Field Yates, McCaffrey has been named to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey has been named to the Pro Bowl.(As he should have been originally)— Field Yates (@FieldYates) January 31,

Analyst and former All-Pro O-lineman: "Jimmy Garoppolo is just an injury-prone quarterback"

Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle took a stab at defending Kyle Shanahan and his play calling from fans and media who place at least part of the blame for the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback injuries on the shoulders of the head coach. It's a fascinating read. Silver argues that the quarterback woes have more to do with poor luck than Shanahan unnecessarily putting his signal-callers in harm's way. Whether or not you want to accept Silver's stand on the situation is up to you. The topic has created much debate among the fanbase, but it is a discussion for another day. One thing was made clear this week. Jimmy Garoppolo, the
