The 2020 NFL Draft is just over two weeks away, and most expect the San Francisco 49ers to add a wide receiver for the 18th consecutive year. Whether that happens with one of the team's two first-round picks remains to be seen.

Daniel Jeremiah, this week, published his third mock draft and has San Francisco bolstering its receiver group early on — with the No. 13 overall pick. With both CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy off the board, Jeremiah has the 49ers selecting Henry Ruggs III out of Alabama.

The NFL Network analyst spoke with Colleen Wolfe and Bucky Brooks and shared why he is so excited to see what Ruggs can do in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense.

"Buck, can you imagine if you saw Ruggs on some of those stretch boots in Kyle Shanahan's system where he's got the ability to run all the way across the field?" Jeremiah asked. "Colleen, it's going to be like watching a speedboat run away from a canoe. It's going to be unbelievable to watch him in that offense. That's why I'm hoping that it happens."

Brooks likes the pick too, saying that Ruggs would be a perfect compliment to Deebo Samuel, is "tough as nails," and can contribute on special teams.

"When I look at this offense, the one thing that they're missing is a vertical-stretch playmaker," Brooks added. "Henry Ruggs is that and then some."

Jeremiah has the 49ers adding to their defensive line at No. 31 with the selection of Ross Blacklock out of TCU.

The 49ers met with Ruggs at the NFL Scouting Combine in February and met with Blacklock before the league prohibited face-to-face visits due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Buffalo Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd has become the San Francisco 49ers' most significant free-agent acquisition thus far this offseason. While the 31-year-old pass rusher had multiple suitors, the Bay Area team emerged as the most aggressive in its pursuit. On Monday, Floyd spoke to reporters for the first time since the agreement with the 49ers was revealed. During the conversation, he elaborated on why the decision to head to Santa Clara was easy. "Yeah, I got a call from my agent—I had quite a few offers," Floyd said. "But what it was, the 49ers didn't bullsh--t around. They was out the gate, came in with a great deal. It was a solid, solid deal for me. And there really wasn't no second-guessing it. They showed that they wanted me from the

Over the weekend, Ward took to social media to reveal that he and White share the same agent and that he is willing to nudge the free-agent defensive back in the right direction.
