49ers practice and media schedule leading to NFC Championship Game vs. Packers

The San Francisco 49ers will hold three full practices this week as the team prepares to host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, and several players are scheduled to speak with the media via press conferences. Other players will be made available within the locker room after each press conference.

Fans can watch the press conferences at 49ers.com, on the team's official mobile app, or its social media pages.

Below is the schedule, which is subject to change, for the upcoming week. All times are Pacific.

Wednesday, January 15
11:15 a.m. - Kyle Shanahan, Jimmy Garoppolo, Joe Staley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Nick Bosa press conference
1:00 p.m. - Practice

12:10 p.m. - Practice
1:55 p.m. - Robert Saleh, Richard Sherman, DeForest Buckner, George Kittle, and Fred Warner press conference

The NFL is canceling Weeks 1 and 4 of the preseason, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. The league is reportedly expected to announce the decision on Thursday. "The move was driven by two primary factors," writes Florio. "First, teams who will be playing preseason games on the road won't want to move that many people. Second, given that no teams had on-field practice sessions in the offseason, coaches would rather have the extra time to work with their teams, and that will happen if they don't have to worry about two extra preseason games." The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that former defensive lineman Bryant Young will be 29th inductee into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. Hall of Fame.
