So, Arik Armstead is having a good season. He is part of one of the most ferocious defensive lines in the NFL, a San Francisco 49ers front that is giving Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers some problems right now.
The 49ers (9-1) currently lead the Packers (8-2) 13-0 late in the first half of this NFC showdown at Levi's Stadium.
Armstead recorded his ninth sack of the season, bringing down Rodgers in the second quarter on Sunday night. Why is that news? Because it matches the defensive lineman's sack total from his first four NFL seasons.
Armstead is in his fifth NFL season after San Francisco made him the No. 17 overall draft pick in 2015. He is playing on the fifth-year option from his rookie contract and is scheduled to become a free agent after this season.
