Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens played with some awfully excellent quarterbacks over his notable and impossible-not-to-talk-about career. And he certainly hasn't shied away from letting his comments flow about current players in the NFL, either.

One player Owens reflected on during a recent interview with TMZ Sports is the San Francisco 49ers' own, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Garoppolo is coming off a career-high four-touchdown game against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, emerging from the monikers of him being called a "game manager" during the Niners' 8-0 start to 2019 -- a stretch where San Francisco's defense and running game has mostly received the credit.

Terrell Owens Loves Jimmy Garoppolo, That's My Quarterback!!!

Owens is all in on Garoppolo, however, and he's a believer in what the 49ers are doing this season. He also felt very satisfied with his time in San Francisco.

"That's where I started my career. I played eight years there," Owens said during the interview. "There's no denying what I did there. I played for five teams. But when you think of a team I identified myself with, everybody remembers the playoff game where I caught the game winner against the Green Bay Packers. That's one of the games that stood out. Not only for a lot of fans there in the Bay Area, but for myself in general."

Of course, Owens had one of the best moments in 49ers history, hauling in a game-winning touchdown pass from quarterback Steve Young in the 1999 Wild Card round against the Packers -- a play many refer to as "The Catch II."

Now, Owens is looking at Garoppolo as the next great San Francisco quarterback.

"You asked if Jimmy G was a superstar," Owens continued. "Of course he's a superstar. "You think about what he did under the tutelage of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady [of the New England Patriots], I don't think that organization would have acquired Jimmy G if he wouldn't have done some of the things that he did."
