The San Francisco 49ers tackles might want to take note of a trade that just took place in the NFC West. The Houston Texans agreed to send star edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney to the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday.

Clowney has been selected to the last three Pro Bowls and joins a Seahawks defense that already features five-time Pro Bowl selection (2014–18), Bobby Wagner.

The Seahawks are sending a third-round draft pick and two players to the Texans in exchange for Clowney, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans made Clowney, who played college football at South Carolina, the No. 1 overall selection in 2014. He registered 47 combined tackles, nine sacks, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble through 15 games and 14 starts with the Texans in 2018. Clowney has recorded 205 combined tackles, 29 sacks, 11 passes defensed, and five forced fumbles through his five NFL seasons.

The Texans used the franchise tag on Clowney and tried to negotiate a contract with the defensive star, but the two sides could not land on an agreement.

The 49ers and Seahawks play on Monday, November 11 at Levi's Stadium and then again on Sunday, December 29 at CenturyLink Field.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were reportedly interested in trading for star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. However, the San Francisco 49ers' asking price of the No. 17 overall pick plus a player was seemingly too high for the team. Now, it appears another AFC team might be trying to pry Aiyuk away from the West Coast. Andrew Fillipponi of Pittsburgh-area radio station 93.7 The Fan reports that the Steelers are looking to work out a deal with the 49ers for the receiver. "Sources: The Steelers have looked into 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk," Fillipponi wrote on social media. "He's entering the last year of his contract. Steelers would have to execute a sign and trade. Over the weekend, Ward took to social media to reveal that he and White share the same agent and that he is willing to nudge the free-agent defensive back in the right direction. Ward described White as a "hand in glove
