The San Francisco 49ers are the sixth most valuable NFL franchise, according to Forbes. The magazine has the team valued at $3.05 billion, which is the same value from one year ago.
The 49ers rank No. 16 among all sports franchises with only the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, and Washington Redskins valued higher among NFL teams.

The Cowboys aren't just the NFL's most valuable team. It was named the world's most valuable franchise for the fourth consecutive time and is valued at $5 billion. The New York Yankees sit at No. 2 with a value of $4.6 billion.
More than half of the teams within Forbes' top 50 are NFL franchises.
"Credit the monster media-rights deals with the likes of CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN and DirecTV that paid out more than $260 million per team last year," writes Kurt Badenhausen.
The other Bay Area teams in the top 50 are the Golden State Warriors at No. 9, San Francisco Giants at No. 18, and the Oakland Raiders at No. 34.
