San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan tries to keep his language family-friendly when speaking to the media or doing an interview. However, the head coach is always himself when addressing his players. That was evident in Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday when Shanahan addressed the South squad of the Senior Bowl following practice.
NFL Network caught the head coach being himself as he explained what is expected this week out of the draft prospects before the cameras and audio quickly cut away.
Shanahan probably didn't realize or forgot that the network was listening in on the conversation, which made for an amusing situation.
It's not the first time the 49ers head coach has slipped when it comes to his language. There was
this humorous slip-up during a press conference in 2017.
"That was bad," Shanahan said while laughing along with reporters. "Just shows my immaturity."
While most would agree that one wasn't so bad, there is at least one instance Shanahan probably wishes he could take back. He was
fined $25,000 this past season for this colorful confrontation with an official during the 49ers' Week 13 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Updated list of 49ers draft picks in 2024 after NFL penalty
The NFL has penalized the San Francisco 49ers for payroll accounting errors that occurred at the end of the 2022 league year. This has led to the team forfeiting their fifth-round draft pick in 2025 and a reduction in their fourth-round pick in the upcoming draft.
San Francisco's fourth-round selection, initially No. 131 overall, now shifts down four spots to the end of the round at No. 135, following the compensatory picks from that round.
Despite this setback, the 49ers still possess 10 selections in the 2024 NFL Draft but will be short a pick next year. The team's selections in the upcoming draft are as follows:

49ers attend Arizona pro day to watch Jordan Morgan
Nearly all NFL teams were represented at Arizona's pro day, with only three teams choosing to skip the event. The San Francisco 49ers were among those in attendance to scout the draft prospects, including potential first-round pick, tackle Jordan Morgan. The Niners currently hold 10 selections in the upcoming draft, with their first pick at No. 31 overall.
Of note, it wasn't just any 49ers scout present at Arizona's pro day. NFL Draft Diamonds reports that it was the team's director of college scouting. Tariq Ahmad held that position before recently being promoted, along with R.J. Gillen, to co-directors of player personnel. It's assumed that NFL Draft Diamonds meant one of these two

Details emerge on Kyle Juszczyk's restructured deal with 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers restructured fullback Kyle Juszczyk's contract this week, generating approximately $4 million in salary cap space for 2024 and roughly $1.1 million for 2025. They accomplished this by converting salary into a signing bonus and extending the cap implications through three void years.
Effectively, Juszczyk now has a two-year, $9.1 million deal, keeping him under contract through 2025, with the salary cap impact stretching until 2026.
