San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in Sunday's 26-23 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
Gould connected on all four field-goal attempts and two extra points, including the game-winning 36-yard field goal in overtime. This marked Gould's sixth-career game-winning field goal in overtime and his first since November 17, 2013, as a member of the Chicago Bears (vs. Bal).
With 14 points on the day, Gould became the 23rd kicker in NFL history to register at least 1,500 points in his career (1,513).
Gould is in his second season with the 49ers. He is scheduled to become a free agent in March.
"Of course we want Robbie back," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game. "He's been great for two years. It's nice for a coach, that when you get to the end of that, I'm not thinking about him missing it at all."
