The San Francisco 49ers activated linebacker Dekoda Watson from the injured reserve/designated for return list on November 1. He is headed back to injured reserve after suffering a torn calf against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced on Monday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Watson a seventh-round draft pick out of Florida State in 2010. He spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos before signing a three-year deal with San Francisco on March 17, 2017.
Watson managed five combined tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble in four games since returning this season. He appeared in 14 games for the 49ers last season and registered eight combined tackles.
