San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde, who suffered a hip injury against the Los Angeles Rams, is heading into Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals as questionable. He was limited during practices this week.

"Definitely still hurting," 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday while discussing Hyde.

Shanahan added that Hyde's availability for Sunday would be a game-time decision.

Hyde may be hurting, but he expects to play against the Cardinals, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN. However, that will be dependent on how his hip feels during pregame warmups in Glendale, Arizona.

Despite the injury suffered against the Rams, Hyde finished the game. Prior to this season, Hyde has missed 12 games since becoming a starter in 2015, including the final game of 2016 after being placed on injured reserve due to an MCL sprain.

In 2017, Hyde is averaging 5.2 yards per carry and has found the end zone twice. He has racked up 253 yards in three games, including a 124-yard performance during Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Hyde has four runs of 15 or more yards, which is tied for third in the league among running backs, according to Pro Football Focus. His 126 yards during those runs ranks second in the league.

"If you look at his last nine games going back to last year...144 carries for 798 yards," our own Al Sacco stated this past week on the latest No Huddle podcast, "5.5 yards per carry. Other than this past week, those other eight games, it's not like he had a prolific passing attack to help him. He looks comfortable in this offense and there were a lot of questions if he would or would not. And he does.

"He had 25 carries, 84 yards, and two scores in Week 3 and he just looks like he's really coming into his own. And I know he got dinged up in this past game and I just hope he can stay on the field because, to me, right now, the sky's the limit for Hyde. I really feel he's finally finding his groove."

According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is preparing to assume the role of principal owner of the team by acquiring the necessary equity from his mother, Denise DeBartolo York. "The transaction and title change is subject to NFL approval, expected during the league meetings underway today in Orlando," Fischer wrote. Mar 19

Offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles recently re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers on one-year deals. OverTheCap.com has revealed the contract information for both deals. Feliciano signed a contract that includes the minimum base salary for a player with eight accrued seasons of experience—$1.21 million. Flannigan-Fowles' base salary is slightly higher, at about $1.77 million. Feliciano is scheduled to count about $2.28 million against the 2024 salary cap, while Flannigan-Fowles is slated to consume almost $1.3 million. The linebacker's reduced impact is due to the 49ers using a portion of up to $1.45 million of salary that won't count against the salary cap for veteran players. The 49ers are paying Feliciano a
