49ers sign LB Jayson DiManche to a one-year deal

On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed LB Jayson DiManche to a one-year deal.

DiManche was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in May of 2013. In two seasons with Cincinnati, he appeared in 28 games and had one start. DiManche had 13 tackles and one pass defended during his time there.

Following his release by the Bengals prior to the start of the 2015 season, he spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs before appearing in one game with the Cleveland Browns. The Browns released DiManche that December and he was then signed to the Bengals' practice squad in January of 2016. DiManche spent the following training camp with the Bengals but was released that August. The next day, he signed with the Detroit Lions before being released on September 3, 2016.

The third-year tackle sees the analysis on social media and is fine with it, so long as it is done right. Said McGlinchey on Wednesday: "Obviously, I don't really appreciate people who are the armchair quarterbacks that take a 30-second clip off of Twitter and think they understand offensive-line play. I don't like that." Pro Football Focus grades show that McGlinchey's overall play has been improving as the season progresses

49ers promote LB Joe Walker to the active roster, sign LB Jonas Griffith to the practice squad

Linebacker Joe Walker has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Linebacker Jonas Griffith has been signed to the practice squad The following rundown was provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Walker (6-2, 236) originally signed with the team as a free agent on March 24, 2020. He was released by the team on September 5, 2020, and signed to the team's practice squad the following day. 49ers sign TE Daniel Helm to the practice squad

Daniel Helm has cleared waivers, and the San Francisco 49ers announced that the team has signed the tight end to the practice squad. The Niners waived him on Tuesday. Helm (6-4, 225) entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers on May 10, 2019. The Chargers waived him on August 1, 2019. The 49ers initially claimed Helm on August 2, 2019. He was later waived and then signed to the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster on December 12, 2019. Helm spent part of training camp this year with the 49ers, was waived on August 15, and claimed off waivers by the Kansas City Chiefs the next day.
