49erswebzone.com Volunteer Writer Search
We are looking to bring aboard at least one new volunteer staff writer. If you have a passion for the 49ers, know football inside and out, love to write and want viewers from all over the world to read your thoughts on the team, then we want to hear from you!

We are currently looking for an 'exclusive' writer. What does that mean? It means that we would prefer a staff member who currently does not write for another 49ers publication (print or online).

Requirements:
  • Applicant must follow the 49ers with a passion.
  • Solid grammer and spelling skills are a must.
  • Applicant should be someone that stays up to date on 49ers news.
  • Applicant must not be writing for another 49ers publication (print or online). We are currently looking for an EXCLUSIVE writer at this time. If you wish, you may send a submission, but understand that we will be giving the writers with no affiliation priority consideration.
  • Applicant should be familiar with online forms and submission (all commentaries are posted using online forms ... if you know how to post in our forums then posting commentaries will be easy).
  • Thick skin. We can't accept everyone.
Preferred:
  • We would like someone that lives in the Bay Area. Most of our staff is not currently located within the Bay Area and we need another presence there.
  • We would like an applicant that would be able to cover certain 49ers events like training camp (or at least the first couple of days of training camp).
  • Writing experience preferred.
  • College football and NFL Draft knowledge would be good. If you have NFL Draft knowledge, please let us know.
If you are interested, click on the button below to make a submission. You may pick any topic you want as long as it has something to do with the 49ers. Choose wisely because we will be judging your creativity based on the subject of your submission.
  • It is recommended that you write your article on your computer and then submit it. Save it locally in case we do not receive your submission. You will receive confirmation once you submit your article.
  • Give your article a title. Don't just send us the body of your article.
  • Write your article as if it were going to appear on this site. This article should represent what you can bring to 49erswebzone.com.
  • Look through the articles currently on the site. You should be able to write in the same format.
  • If we like your submission, be prepared to write another as we narrow down the choices.
