Receiver Patton Now Poised to Contribute to 49ers

Until Sunday, Quinton Patton's rookie season rated a big zero.Until he made a big run on a reverse and caught two passes in the final regular-season game – one that led to the game-winning field goal – the 49ers' fourth-round draft pick had made exactly one catch for zero yards in 2013. Plus, a broken foot in September had taken away his chance to play, just when he'd earned a starting spot.But after breaking through against the Cardinals, Patton now has a chance to play a big role in the 49ers' opening playoff game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. And his opportunities may continue on through the playoffs (should the 49ers advance) and into the 2014 season. Patton, who missed 10 weeks of this season, had two catches for 34 yards in the win over the Cardinals, including the 29-yarder at the end of the game that was a spectacular, leaping grab vs. cornerback Antoine Cason. After the game, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick said he knew he was going to go to Patton because he liked the matchup."It was press coverage over there, we had a double move on, I liked the matchup and there was no safety on that side of the field," Kaepernick told Cam Inman of the Bay Area...

Joshua Dobbs became the latest addition to the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback room after agreeing to a one-year contract with the team on Monday. Details emerge on 49ers' 1-year deals with Jon Feliciano and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles

Offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles recently re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers on one-year deals. OverTheCap.com has revealed the contract information for both deals. Feliciano signed a contract that includes the minimum base salary for a player with eight accrued seasons of experience—$1.21 million. Flannigan-Fowles' base salary is slightly higher, at about $1.77 million. Feliciano is scheduled to count about $2.28 million against the 2024 salary cap, while Flannigan-Fowles is slated to consume almost $1.3 million.
