Colin Kaepernick played like Superman in 2012 as he took the 49ers to the Super Bowl.So, going into the 2013 season, the young 49ers phenom would have to rank among the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL, right?Not so fast.Former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski, now an analyst for ESPN, recently made Kaepernick No. 11 in his rankings of the 32 starting QBs in the league. And in doing so, he was dead solid perfect for two reasons.First, the sample size is small. Kaepernick, in just his second season as a pro, started just 10 games last season. He was – for the most part – brilliant. But there have been other QBs who came out of the gate hot and then fluttered downhill once defenses had time to study them, pick out their weak spots and throw a little adversity in their faces.But second, Jaworski is a fan. A big, big fan of what Kaepernick can do, so his No. 11 rating comes with a bullet. The sample size is small, but the talent is big, and Jaworski believes Kaepernick is a rising star who will be among the elite of the elite in no time. According to NFL Insider, Benjamin Allbright, the Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, to add him as a weapon for QB Russell Wilson. The Steelers added Wilson earlier this offseason after the Denver Broncos decided to move on from him. Aiyuk, if paired with Steelers WR George Pickens, would give Wilson two dangerous threats in the passing game.

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team.

Draft Watch: Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley visiting 49ers on Wednesday

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday.
Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick. San Francisco owns two selections on Day 2—the No. 63 overall pick in the second round and the No. 94 overall pick in the third round. Currently, the receiver is visiting with the Seattle Seahawks.
