49ers, Cowboys and Browns call Wes Welker’s agent
Pro Football Central is reporting the 49ers, Cowboys and Browns have contacted wide receiver Wes Welker's agent. However, the New England Patriots currently have an offer on the table for Welker and that he would need to be "blown away" to turn it down.
Last season with the Patriots, Welker had 118 receptions for 1,354 yards and 6 touchdowns. He has played the past six seasons with New England.
The 49ers are expected to try and upgrade the receiver position via free agency or the NFL Draft in April. The team is in need of someone to compliment Michael Crabtree.

PFF mock draft has 49ers adding cornerback with 'unique fluidity and size'
Analyst Steve Palazzolo unveiled a first-round mock draft for Pro Football Focus, attempting to forecast the selections for each NFL team within the top 32 picks. It's evident that the San Francisco 49ers engaged in long-term financial planning. Much discussion has centered around the feasibility of the team committing significant financial resources to two wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.
