Rex Ryan recalls 2015 interview with 49ers
Oct 12, 2016 at 12:45 PM
• --
Bills head coach Rex Ryan arrived without a suit and he left without a job when he interviewed with the 49ers last year. After the 49ers fired Jim Harbaugh following the 2014 season, they spoke with Ryan about their opening that was eventually filled by Jim Tomsula. "I spent two days (in Hawaii) and then I had to go interview," Ryan said on a conference call with the Bay Area media today. Ryan eventually landed last year in Buffalo, where the 49ers will visit on Sunday on a four-game losing streak. After dropping their first two games, Buffalo fired offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who had the same role with the 49ers from 2011-14.
