49ers-Cardinals Injury Report: DeForest Buckner, Jimmie Ward ruled out

San Francisco 49ers DL DeForest Buckner (foot) didn't practice during this short week leading up to tomorrow's game against the Arizona Cardinals. He was injured during the 49ers' 24-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Buckner was the seventh overall selection in this year's draft.

CB Jimmie Ward (quad) continues to miss practice after suffering a quad injury against during Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. He is reportedly week-to-week. CB Rashard Robinson started in place of Ward on Sunday against the Cowboys and played very well. He earned the team's top grade for Week 4 from advanced statistics site Pro Football Focus.

LB NaVorro Bowman has not officially been placed on the Injured Reserve list, but will miss the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles.

DT Glenn Dorsey (knee), WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle), and TE Vance McDonald (hip) all practiced on Wednesday, but were limited.

Earlier today, it was reported that Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (concussion) would miss Thursday's game. He will not travel to Santa Clara with the Cardinals and the team will start Drew Stanton in his place.

49ers sign WR Trent Taylor, reuniting with former draft pick

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech. Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team. The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday. Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture.
