When the 49ers moved into Levi's Stadium they hoped they'd be participants in Super Bowl 50. Instead, they were forced to watch the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers on their home turf Sunday.Now that this year's Big Game is over, it doesn't look all that likely they'll be participants in Super Bowl LI, either. According to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook odds released Sunday night after the Broncos' victory, the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are co-favorites, at 8-1 odds, to get to the next Super Bowl on Feb. 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium) in Houston.The 49ers?Their odds to get to the NFL's championship game are 60-1, which ranks as No. 31 in a 32-team league. The only team below San Francisco is Cleveland, at 200-1.The 49ers, coming off a 5-11 season and the firing of head coach Jim Tomsula after just one season, have fallen a long way in three seasons. Donte Whitner believes 49ers were dealt a bad hand during Super Bowl

One former San Francisco 49ers player is making his opinion of Super Bowl 58 very clear. He believes his former team was dealt a bad hand in the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas two months ago.
Former 49ers safety Donte Whitner, appearing this week on the "Up & Adam" show with Kay Adams, was vocal regarding the matchup and how certain circumstances seemed to favor the Chiefs.
"And when we think about the Super Bowl as well, I think that the 49ers played against the refs as well, guys," Whitner told Adams. "I think that when we look at that film and you see bear hugs on those defensive ends, right? And you really see it in blatant moments in the game."

No one is perfect. Each of us makes mistakes. I do for sure. Peruse your way through the many articles I've written for 49ers Webzone and you'll see plenty of mistakes. Whether it's a typo or some prediction I offered that didn't go as I had thought.
The San Francisco 49ers are no different. John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have made their share of mistakes. Fortunately for all of us, they hit on more than they miss. But I wonder if we were able to catch them in a moment of complete transparency if they might admit to wanting to hit the Ctrl+Z and "undo" some moves.
