Good news for 49ers’ big WRs: Chip Kelly prizes size

• --
During his three seasons with the Eagles, Kelly sought size at the wide receiver position, which could bode well for Smelter, a 2015 fourth-round pick who was sidelined last year with a torn ACL he sustained in college. If the 49ers think pending free agent Anquan Boldin, 35, has enough in the tank, re-signing him could be more of a priority given Kelly's presence. Boldin (6-1, 220), of course, has often played the position like a power forward en route to ranking 12th in NFL history in receptions. In the draft? A possible target with the No. 7 overall pick — Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell (6-2, 210) — could be quite attractive to Kelly. In 2014, the Eagles released wide receiver DeSean Jackson (5-10, 178), drafted Matthews and signed Riley Cooper (6-4, 230) to a five-year contract extension. During his Eagles tenure, Kelly was fond of saying "big people beat up little people" when discussing player evaluation. "The most important thing for a receiver -- and I know I talked about big people beat up little people -- that's more of a defensive philosophy for us," Kelly said in 2014. By David Bonilla

Malachi Corley has been likened to versatile San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel. What does Corley, the former Western Kentucky wide receiver, think about the prospect of joining Samuel and the rest of the 49ers' receiving corps?
It's a possibility. Corley is expected to be drafted in the second or third round this week and recently visited the team in Santa Clara. Could it be the 49ers calling his name?
"Put me out there with Deebo," Corley recently told Kay Adams on the "Up and Adams" show. "Deebo, left, Malachi, right, [Brandon] Aiyuk, [Christian] McCaffrey down the middle."
While 49ers fans hope to see Aiyuk remain with the team, negotiations for

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is in high spirits, and it's no wonder why. He's well aware that his bank account is about to get a significant boost, one way or another.
Aiyuk posted a video to Instagram, showing himself dancing and seemingly celebrating the good fortune of one of his NFL peers. The Detroit Lions recently inked their star wideout, Amon-Ra St. Brown, to a lucrative four-year, $120 million contract extension. Aiyuk eagerly awaits his own deal from the 49ers and recognizes that the news out of Detroit will only strengthen his agent, Ryan Williams' hand at the negotiating table.
