49ers WR Torrey Smith could sit for first time in career Torrey Smith was limited to one catch and 27 snaps last week, sat out two practices this week and suggested Friday he really doesn't know if he'll play today against the Bengals. Head coach Jim Tomsula said back spasms limited Smith in last week's 24-10 loss to the Browns, but it sounds as if there could be more to his back issues. In addition to never missing a game, Smith has never been on a team that's been eliminated from the playoffs this early in the season. In his first four seasons, the Ravens made three playoff appearances and were eliminated from the playoffs in the final week of the season in 2013.

The San Francisco 49ers are likely hoping that a top offensive lineman drops to them at No. 31 in the first round of this month's draft. It is less than two weeks away from the 2024 NFL Draft, and the San Francisco 49ers finally have a first-round draft pick, after not having one the last two years. Who will they select?
