Player who said 49ers didn’t play him because of ‘politics’ gets burned in start against old team

In a moment of indiscretion, cornerback Shareece Wright tweeted that the 49ers weren't playing him because of 'politics.' After getting blown up by Torrey Smith on Sunday, it looks like politics weren't the only thing keeping Wright on the bench. The 49ers released Wright on Oct. 10, and he signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday. ESPN speculated that Wright might be key in helping the Ravens game-plan against the Niners. But that wasn't to be. In the first half, Wright was burned on a 76-yard touchdown pass from Kap to Smith. And the Internet didn't miss the opportunity to throw Wright's words back in his face: Shareece Wright requesting to be inactive for rest of game.
